Want to Join the
TechnoWitchy Team?
TechnoWitchy is a new company, and
as such, we are looking to expand our service area for our in-home
service. If you are able to explain technical processes in language
that non-techies can understand, then you may just be who we are looking
for. Even if you live within an area we already offer service, we
probably still need you to offer more schedule options to our
customers. Please read the information section off of the first part
of this web page, and if you can offer such services yourself for the same
price, you may be able to work with us for more referrals
for doing very little extra work.
Here are the details:
-
Email
Ahmie with your resume (doesn't have to be formal, but tell her
why you feel qualified to do this kind of work, even if all of your
learning is from your own computer and those of your family
members). Please include your ICQ number if you have one, as
well as phone number.
-
After some discussion and
presenting some hypothetical problem situations to be solved, Ahmie
will put you on our list of service providers and add the area you are
willing to serve to our web page, as well as sending you some business
cards to start handing out.
-
As requests for help for your
area come in, we will forward the requests to you. You agree to
give us $10 each for the first 10 calls you go on through our web
page, to cover long distance phone charges so we can check to be sure
the customers are satisfied with the quality of service they are
getting (people that you help that don't go through the web page you
don't have to send $10 for, but that means that we won't check their
satisfaction, and it slows the process of our evaluating how often to
send people to you).
-
After the first 10 customers
have been contacted and assuming that the results were generally
positive, you will be placed on a "preferred
provider" list, and get referrals in
preference to other TechnoWitchy providers in your area. At your
request, you may see a summary of what the customers had to say about
you, as long as their anonymity can be preserved in doing
so.
-
After you reach "preferred
provider" status, you may chose to continue to send in $10 from
the calls that you go on, to have us continue to check to be sure your
customers are satisfied. Doing so will be beneficial
to you, especially after more providers are in your area, because
those who we continue to hear good things about will be placed on our
"golden providers" list the first to get referrals.
From all this, you may be wondering where we, the owners, benefit
from having you work for us? Well, it expands the company to new
areas and gets the name around... but it also should be helping to
increase the number of people who use our Memory Archival services
(since this is something nearly everyone can use). Whenever you
go on a call, make sure the customer knows about the Memory Archival
service, you don't have to push it or sell it, just let them know it
exists. For every customer you provide help to who later uses
the Memory Archival service, you will receive
10% of the profit (we have to pay for some
materials, you know) from the service. This 10% can be used in
one of two ways: either you can receive a
check for the amount(s) monthly (or however often we arrange,
depending on how much that 10% works out to be, so that you're not
getting a bunch of checks for $2 each), or you can have us hold on to
the money for you, to be applied toward the certification test of your
choice. But here's the catch (there is always a catch in life,
isn't there?) - if you get a certification through this method, you
agree to work with TechnoWitchy for at least 1 year after you receive
the certification (isn't that horrible??).
You should be able to hold down a full-time job and be a TechnoWitchy
provider in your spare time (especially since most of the customers
are probably going to want help in the evenings and on weekends), if
that is what you want to do. TechnoWitchy makes no demands that
you work only for us, or even that you don't work in a technology
related field at the same time, as long as you use our name with the
customers we refer you to and don't use TechnoWitchy to get customers
for your other company (even if you own it), but this is mostly an
honor system, since we don't really have the time or inclination to
spy on you <grin>. If you chose to just receive
a commission on the referrals to our Memory
Archival service, you may stop associating with TechnoWitchy at any
time, as long as you let the people you provide help know that you no
longer work with us. If you would like to start your own
franchise of TechnoWitchy in your area, and begin providing Memory
Archival services too, this can be arranged (especially if the work
load starts to be too much for Ahmie to keep up with!), but please
keep the communication open with us! :)
These terms are subject to change at any time. Those who have
already signed up to be TechnoWitchy providers will be notified via
email of any changes.
